Spring Roof Maintenance

Spring is in the air, and with the warmer season comes spring cleaning! As you start going through your closets and house to declutter, don’t forget about the outside of your house.

With the crazy winter weather we had here in Texas this year, spring cleaning the outside of your house is more important than ever! The changing temperatures, snow and ice have likely done a number on your home’s exterior.

Roof Inspection

Start your spring cleaning by inspecting your roof. Grab a ladder and head outside. Once you are safely on your ladder, take a close look at the shingles and flashing. Signs of problems could include worn areas around pipes, lights or chimneys, buckling or curling of shingles, cracked caulk on flashing and even large amounts of moss.

If you notice any of these problems, contact us! If you don’t feel comfortable inspecting your own roof or don’t know what to look for, contact us for your FREE roof inspection.

Spring Cleaning Your Roof

After you have inspected your roof, it’s time to clean up the debris. Remove fallen branches, leaves and any other form of debris from your roof and gutters. After the winter weather we’ve had, it might be nasty, but it is important to remove the sludge and dead leaves from your gutters before the spring rains start.

Your roof is an important part of your house and should be an important part of your spring cleaning routine. Contact WeatherShield Roofing & Sheetmetal for your FREE roof inspection today at (817) 441-1446 We are your roofing experts!
